Theresa Day,Jeffrey Day Obituary, Death; – A husband and wife have been found deceased following an apparent murder-suicide in Westmoreland County, according to authorities.
Details provided by the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office on Tuesday indicate that detectives were summoned on Sunday to probe a murder-suicide incident at a residence in the borough of Manor.
The District Attorney’s office reported that both individuals were discovered dead within the home. Investigators determined that the woman succumbed to a gunshot wound, while the man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Westmoreland County coroner has identified the deceased as 51-year-old Theresa Day and 62-year-old Jeffrey Day, both of whom were pronounced dead shortly after 10 p.m. on Sunday. The coroner’s findings suggest that Jeffrey Day allegedly took the life of his wife before ending his own.
Detectives from the District Attorney’s office collaborated with Manor Borough police during the investigation. No further details have been disclosed by officials.
