Terry Leyendecker Obituary, Death – In the obituary of Terry Leyendecker, After a protracted battle with illness, Death, the husband of Cynthia Doane Leyendecker, passed away on Saturday evening, July 5, 2008, at his residence. He was a graduate of Hamilton Public Schools and was born in Beverly. His parents, Jacob and Averita Rhoades Leyendecker, both passed away before he was born. Immediately after completing his education, Richard joined the United States Marine Corps.
Richard worked for General Electric Corporation as an employee for more than three decades. He worked as a machinist for the corporation, specifically in the company’s divisions that dealt with aviation and submarine engines. Richard had a serious passion for trains and was a collector of H.O. Scale Trains with great enthusiasm. He is survived by his two sons, Vance Leyendecker and Terry Leyendecker, both of Georgetown, as well as his companion, Erin Carr, of Beverly; two brothers, Jim Leyendecker of Salem and Ronald Leyendecker of Amelia, Florida; one sister, Genevieve Winblatt of New Hampshire; and a number of nieces and nephews.
On Saturday, July 12, 2008, at one o’clock in the afternoon, a service will be held at the graveyard. Friends and family members are cordially invited to attend. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, from 5 to 7 o’clock in the evening at the Campbell Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, which is located at 525 Cabot Street, Beverly North Beverly Location. Instead of sending flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of the North Shore in his honor.
