According to Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office in a media release, TPSO is on the scene of a death investigation.
Just before 8 a.m., a passerby reported a suspicious, rolled up tarp on the side of Highway 51 between Fluker and Tangipahoa, the sheriff’s office said. Responding deputies determined the body of a white male was inside of the tarp.
This victim has been identified and is not from Tangipahoa Parish. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
At this time, detectives are actively working this case. More information will be released as it becomes available.
