Tamayo Perry Obituary, 49-Years-Old Pirates Of The Caribbean Star Killed In Shark Attack: Tamayo Perry, known for his roles in Pirates of the Caribbean and other films such as Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and Blue Crush, has tragically passed away at the age of 49. Emergency services have confirmed that Perry was attacked by a shark near Goat Island in Hawaii. The attack was reported by a caller who witnessed Perry suffering from wounds inflicted by the shark. Acting Honolulu Ocean Safety chief Kurt Lager described Perry as “a lifeguard loved by all” and noted his renown as a professional surfer on the North Shore and globally.
“Tamayo’s personality was infectious, and as much as people loved him, he loved everyone else more,” Lager added. “Our condolences go out to Tamayo’s family and to the entire lifeguard Ohana. We’re asking for some privacy for his family at this time.” Rick Blangiardi, mayor of Honolulu, paid tribute to Perry, describing him as a legendary waterman and highly respected member of the Ocean Safety team. “It’s just really hard to imagine, so we just want to pay our respects to our guys,” Blangiardi said.
