Syeda Aalia Nayyar,Syeda Fatima Obituary, Death; – The Howard County Police spokesperson, Sherry Llewellyn, stated that a man from Maryland killed three family members and critically injured his son before taking his own life. The motive behind the shootings that occurred on Thursday night at a townhouse in Elkridge, a Baltimore suburb, remains unknown.
Neighbors reported hearing gunshots and the suspect himself called 911 to confess to the crime and express his intention to end his own life. The victims were residents of the townhouse, while the suspect, Nayyar Abbas Syed, 61, was a frequent visitor. There were no signs of forced entry, and the police had not received any prior calls from the home.
The deceased women were identified as the suspect’s wife, Syeda Aalia Nayyar, 57; daughter, Syeda Fatima, 25; and daughter-in-law, Alizey Fatima, 33. The suspect’s son, Muhammad Ali Hamza, 31, was hospitalized in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries. A 3-month-old girl was found unharmed and placed in the care of a family member.
