A suspect accused of a shooting that left a man severely injured has been arrested after nearly a month on the run. The incident occurred on March 25, 2025, when a 32-year-old man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 200 block of West 61st Street in Savannah, Georgia. The victim was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.

Following an intensive investigation, Savannah Police identified 34-year-old Leearnell Williams as the primary suspect. Williams was arrested on October 25, 2024, and charged with murder and aggravated assault in connection with the shooting. He was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held without bond.

The arrest was the result of diligent work by Savannah Police detectives and officers, who meticulously gathered evidence and conducted interviews to piece together the events leading up to the shooting. Authorities have not disclosed the motive behind the attack, but they continue to urge anyone with additional information to come forward.
