YORK, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Students have been evacuated after a bomb threat was made against a local school, according to York School District 1.
Officials say around 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, five students at York Intermediate School on Johnson Road reported seeing writing in the boy’s bathroom that a bomb was in the school.
The school was evacuated and emergency crews are sweeping the building. Authorities say all students are safe.
Parents and visitors are asked not to come to campus at this time because it would hinder emergency operations. Once the building is safe, students will resume classes.
