(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good Sunday morning! Strong thunderstorms are moving through our region this morning, which is leading to a bumpy start to the day.
The storms are capable of producing damaging wind gusts (60+ mph), large hail, and isolated tornadoes. If a severe thunderstorm warning or tornado warning is issued for your area, be sure to seek shelter. The lowest level of your structure, along with an interior room away from windows, is the best place to be, especially during a tornado warning.

Storms will push east of the Queen City News viewing area by noon on Sunday, but a few more thunderstorms may develop as the cold front pushes by later this afternoon.
The storms that develop later today are not expected to be severe but will bear watching in case the atmosphere is not too worked over from earlier storms.
Other than the storms, we are also tracking windy conditions through today. A wind advisory has been issued for most of the Queen City News viewing area until 2 p.m. today.
Wind gusts between 40-50 mph are possible through the early afternoon. Winds will not be quite as strong during the late afternoon and evening hours, but it will still be breezy.

High temperatures will actually climb into the 70s this afternoon, with a few peaks of sunshine.
High pressure builds back in for Monday, leading to more sunshine and dry conditions. Temperatures will start in the 40s Monday morning, ahead of lower 60s for the afternoon. It will remain a bit breezy to start the work week.
Expect high temperatures to return to the 70s for Tuesday and Wednesday before another cold front brings shower chances and 60s back to the forecast by Thursday!
