Steven Tyree Moultrie Obituary Philadelphia: Police in Philadelphia have identified the man who died in an Uber and two other vehicle crash that closed Kelly Drive on Thursday afternoon.
At 3:22 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, at the junction of Kelly Drive and Reservoir Drive, a tragic crash took place.
According to authorities, a 2015 black Nissan Altima was heading south on Kelly Drive when it illegally turned left into Reservoir Drive, putting it straight in front of a 2024 white Nissan Rogue that was heading north.
The Altima spun out of control in the collision, crashing into a 2016 black BMW as a third car.
After being transported to Temple University Hospital, the Altima’s passenger—later identified as 41-year-old Steven Tyree Moultrie—was declared dead at 4:02 p.m. that same day.
The 44-year-old man who was operating the Altima was transported to the hospital with only minor wounds. There were no other injuries recorded. The man who remained nameless drove for Uber. According to an Uber representative, the company immediately blocked the man’s access to its platform after learning of the tragedy, and it is still being looked into.
The spokesperson stated, “There are no words to describe this tragic loss and our hearts are with the rider’s loved ones during this unbelievably difficult time.” “We have cut off the driver’s access to our platform, and our committed team is prepared to assist law enforcement in their investigation.”
