Steve Connelly Death – Olmsted County Soil and Water Commission member Steven Connelly passed away sadly following a courageous battle with Pancreatic cancer. He was announced dead through a social media post made on Friday, August 4th, 2023, that read “Just heard I lost one of my blood brothers last night, #56 – Steve Connelly known as Cons & my partner of crime as Freaky as I was Freeky. I can’t say how my heart is deeply saddened right now so this post will be short.”
Who was Steve Connelly?
Steven Leo Connelly was involved in farmer, sports, and entertainment marketing. He obtained a Bachelor of science in natural resource management and also studied political science and public administration. He was a longtime board member of the Soil and Water Conservation District and also served on the Olmsted County Environmental Commission, South Zumbro Watershed Joint Powers Board, Root River One Watershed, and One Plan Policy Committee.
Steve’s community involvement includes Seasons Hospice, Pheasants and Habitat Unlimited, and Smile Network. He dedicated over 30 years of his life to public sector government service and served as an elected official with the Olmsted County Soil and Water Conservation District for the past 22 years. He was among the four candidates who seek District 4 commissioner seat in Olmsted County.
