Stefan Valentine of Baton Rouge Dies In Fatal East Baton Rouge Parish Car Crash
According to Louisiana State Police, a collision involving two vehicles on Saturday, September 16, resulted in the deaths of two people.
The collision unfolded shortly before 6 p.m. along Nicholson Drive, situated south of Bluebonnet Boulevard within East Baton Rouge Parish.
Stefan Valentine, aged 34, hailing from Baton Rouge, and Claudette Holmes, aged 45, from Carville, succumbed to the crash’s consequences, as per LSP.
Preliminary investigations by authorities reveal that moments prior to the collision, Valentine was navigating a Toyota 4-Runner southward on Nicholson Drive, while Holmes was piloting a Mazda CX5 northward on the same route.
The collision ensued when, for reasons yet to be fully ascertained, Valentine veered into the northbound lane, resulting in a head-on impact with Holmes’ vehicle.
Valentine’s life came to an end at the crash site, while Holmes succumbed to her injuries thereafter, according to troopers.
Additionally, a passenger in the Mazda sustained moderate injuries and was swiftly transported to a medical facility for treatment.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the Louisiana State Police.
