STATESVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Statesville police officer has been arrested following a domestic violence incident that occurred at the end of December, authorities confirmed.
Officer Anthony Jerome Irving has been charged with a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence and assault on a female by a male over 18 years of age. He was arrested on Monday, Dec. 30.
Officer Irving, who was hired in February 2024, has been placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation, Statesville Police said.
