Skylar McMahan Obituary, Death; – A man has been formally charged following the fatality of a bicyclist in an incident that occurred in Lee County on Friday afternoon, as reported by Virginia State Police.
Authorities indicated that the bicyclist was struck from behind by the operator of a Ram 1500 on Route 58A, approximately one mile west of Route 982. The bicyclist, who has been identified as 18-year-old Skylar McMahan from Big Stone Gap, succumbed to injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Ram, 32-year-old Dustin Holman from Wise, faces charges of reckless driving. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
