CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person is injured after a shooting near the interchange between Interstate 85 and Interstate 77, according to the Mecklenburg EMS Agency (MEDIC).
The incident was first reported around 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24. MEDIC says they took someone with life-threatening injuries from I-85 to Atrium Carolinas Medical Center.
Authorities have not said what led up to the shooting or if a suspect has been caught.
Drivenc.gov shows a ‘road obstruction’ causing the right lane of I-85 South to be closed near Exit 37 for Beatties Ford Road. Queen City News has a crew on scene.
