As the crowd dispersed, the violence continued, culminating in the shooting by Onterio Girley, 17, who was later apprehended by law enforcement.
The criminal complaint details the use of a firearm equipped with a device that converts it into a fully-automatic weapon. Girley attempted to flee but was stopped by a detective in an unmarked vehicle, resulting in his arrest. Drone footage supports the allegations against Girley, who faces multiple charges including first-degree recklessly endangering safety and possession of a firearm by an adjudicated delinquent. Girley is scheduled to appear in court on June 25.
