Shawn Wisby Obituary, Death; – Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol have confirmed the identity of the driver of a Mazda SUV who tragically lost his life in a collision with a school bus on Sunday in Brown County. This incident also resulted in two students being hospitalized.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, they received a call regarding the accident at the intersection of SR-32 and Sardinia Mowrystown Road in Washington Township at 7:38 p.m. The crash involved a head-on collision between the SUV and a school bus.
The investigation revealed that Shawn Wisby, 47, from Georgetown, was traveling east on SR-32 when he drifted off the left side of the roadway, crossed the median, and struck a westbound International school bus operated by Julie Ann Williamson, 46, from Mt. Orab.
Troopers reported that Wisby was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, two students aboard the bus suffered minor injuries and were transported to Mt. Orab Mercy Hospital for assessment.
