Shawn Rouse Obituary, Death; – The Wake County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation following the shooting death of a Fayetteville man on February 1.
As stated in a news release, 38-year-old Shawn Rouse was discovered around 6 p.m. with fatal gunshot wounds in a vehicle located in the 6200 block of Stag Trail. The release confirmed that Rouse was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office have indicated that they believe the shooting to be an isolated event, posing no danger to the public. Rouse’s obituary notes that he is survived by his wife, Rudie Cooper, and their seven children: Darnell, Lanita, ShaNya, Shawn Jr., Nyveona, Javeon, and Adrianna.
