Shaunda Bizzell Death –According to the Chesterfield County Police Department, a strolling woman was struck and killed by a vehicle when she was in her neighborhood in Chesterfield County. Police have identified the driver as Daniel N. Anderson, who is 22 years old. He was taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder subsequent to his arrest.
The incident took place on Monday evening, just before 7 o’clock, in the Amherst neighborhood off Route 1. According to the police, Anderson called the Emergency Communications Center (ECC) and “identified himself.” He then allegedly made multiple threatening statements, including threats to shoot a school, bomb a building, and assault police officers.
Upon arrival, law enforcement authorities discovered that a collision had taken place on Amherst Ridge Loop, involving a Hyundai from the year 2012 and two pedestrians. According to a representative for the Chesterfield Police Department, “Officers quickly determined that the driver of the vehicle, identified as Anderson, was the same man who had called the ECC and made threatening statements,” the spokesperson noted in an email.
At the scene, Anderson, who did not sustain any injuries, was taken into custody. The pedestrians were sent to a nearby hospital for treatment. According to the police, Shaunda Bizzell, who resided in the 16700 block of Amherst Ridge Place, passed away while she was being treated at the hospital. The second pedestrian manages to stay alive. Some members of Bizzell’s family recalled her as a compassionate individual, and they also mentioned that she was out walking with her husband at the time of the accident.
