CHARLOTTE (PINPOINT WEATHER) — We’ll finish off the week with a mix of sun and clouds ahead of weekend storm chances. Look for 40s and low 40s to start this off this Friday morning before we usher in warm conditions for this afternoon.
Winds will be light out of the northeast between 5 and 10 miles per hour, with clouds building as the day goes on. Highs will land well above normal, hitting the mid-70s during the peak heating hours of the day.

Friday night will dip into the 50s, which will make for a strong foundation to work off of on Saturday. Low rain chances finish off the week and start off the weekend as Saturday hits the upper 70s.
We’re tracking a cold front that pushes east across the central plains and Deep South, sparking severe weather from Mississippi to Kentucky. This will arrive on our doorstep early Sunday morning with the threat of damaging winds and the potential for an isolated tornado.
Sunday will be a Pinpoint Weather Alert day as the early morning will be dicey and potentially dangerous for some. Be sure to download the Pinpoint Weather App and stay weather aware late Saturday into Sunday.

Winds will linger throughout the day on Sunday, with temperatures peaking in the low 70s. 60s and sunshine will return for St. Patrick’s Day on Monday to kick off next week.
Look for sunny and dry conditions to linger through mid-week, with rain chances returning by Thursday.
Friday: Mix of Sun & Clouds & Warm. High: 75.
