Seth Binzer Obituary – Shifty Shellshock, the lead vocalist of the rap-rock band Crazy Town from the 2000s, has passed away at the age of 49. As stated on the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s website, Shellshock, whose real name was Seth Binzer, passed away at his residence on Monday.
Crazy Town gained recognition for their 2000 hit single “Butterfly,” which reached the top spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. Their debut album, “The Gift of Game,” sold over 1.5 million copies.
Throughout his music career, Shellshock battled with addiction. He appeared on reality TV shows such as “Celebrity Rehab” for two seasons and “Sober House” for an additional two seasons.
Following the release of their second album, “Darkhorse,” which did not perform well on the charts, Crazy Town disbanded in 2003. However, they reunited after several years and released a third album titled “The Brimstone Sluggers.”
During a tour in 2019, the band’s tour van collided head-on with a moose in Ontario, resulting in significant damage. Shellshock, along with guitarist Elias Tannous and drummer Roland Banks, were driving on Hwy. 17 near Sudbury, Ont. at the time of the accident.
