A guy from Sebring has been accused of manslaughter in relation to the passing of his autistic 9-year-old daughter.
Around eleven in the morning, Highlands County deputies were summoned to a residence on Oak Bend Avenue in order to conduct a search for Arianna Maura, who had gone missing for an unknown period of time.
Desi Maura, her 44-year-old father, informed authorities that he had gone to bed on Wednesday night and awoke to find his daughter gone.
Arianna’s brother, who is seventeen, was the only other occupant of the house.
After conducting a thorough search, deputies discovered the toddler floating in a man-made duck pond close to her residence.
At 12:08 p.m., lifesaving procedures were initiated, but Arianna was declared deceased.
