Scott Johnson Death: Scott Johnson, Hillman, Washington—Scott Johnson, a devoted supporter, closest friend, spouse, and father, is mourned by the community. Scott recently passed away, leaving behind a legacy of altruistic service and compassion that profoundly affected those in his vicinity. All who knew him characterise his departure on 9/9/2024 as a devastating loss. Scott has dedicated the last decade of his life to assisting those in need, frequently at the expense of his personal life. Scott laboured assiduously to provide assistance to underprivileged members of the community through his nonprofit organisation, Assisting Your Life to Achieve (AYLA Inc.).
Scott made a significant impact on the lives of innumerable individuals by providing emergency relief, including food, clothing, and furniture, as well as by facilitating fitness and mental health programs. His initiatives encompassed the establishment of the first adolescent LGBTQI hostel accomodation, the provision of employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, the organisation of art therapy groups, and the assistance of prisoners in their reintegration into society.
Scott’s commitment to assisting others was motivated by his personal experiences of being marginalised and encountering obstacles. In spite of these obstacles, he accomplished extraordinary feats throughout his 40-year career, consistently maintaining an open-hearted perspective. Rebecca Roach, his closest companion of nearly three decades, referred to him as her “one constant” and expressed profound gratitude and affection for him.
Regrettably, Scott passed away without life insurance or funeral coverage, and his family is currently grappling with the financial burden of paying for his funeral. Rebecca Roach has initiated a fundraiser to ensure that Scott receives the appropriate farewell. To date, she has raised $290 AUD of the $13,000 target. The community is encouraged to make a contribution in order to support the bereaved family of Scott and honour his memory. Scott Johnson’s family and loved ones are in our thoughts and prayers. May he be remembered for the love he generously gave and the innumerable lives he touched.
