Scott Eugene Gray Obituary, Death; – The Allen County Coroner has confirmed the identity of the driver who lost his life in a crash on US 24 in February, which led to the vehicle igniting.
The deceased has been identified as Scott Eugene Gray, a 54-year-old resident of Andrews. A statement from the coroner indicated that the legal next of kin has been informed. The cause of death was established as multiple blunt force injuries, with the coroner classifying the manner of death as accidental.
On February 18, Gray’s vehicle collided with a business sign at the intersection of US 24 and West County Line Road, resulting in the car spinning out of control. Subsequently, the vehicle caught fire, as reported by an officer from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
Gray was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries nine days later, on February 27. The Allen County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
