CAROLINA FOREST, S.C. (WBTW) — A resident of Covington Drive in Carolina Forest has been arrested and charged with negligently allowing fire to spread to lands of another by the SC Forestry Commission, according to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center booking website.
Alexandra Bialousow was arrested Thursday. She is also charged with regulation of fires on certain lands, a chapter violation, which South Carolina code describes as “starting [a] fire in woodlands, grasslands, and other places unlawful unless certain precautions are taken.”
Public records show Bialousow is the homeowner of 2459 Covington Drive in the Carolina Forest area.
A video obtained shows a small fire in the backyard of 2459 Covington Drive and smoke nearby about an hour and a half after Horry County Fire Rescue was called out for the wildfire.
Bialousow has a bond hearing set for Friday afternoon. News13 was the first to report her arrest.
