After discovering a man and woman dead at an apartment building in the Stone Oak neighborhood, San Antonio Police announced that they are looking into a murder-suicide.
According to San Antonio Police, the body of a man and woman discovered dead on Sunday at an apartment in the Stone Oak neighborhood are being investigated as possible murder-suicides.
A spokesman for the San Antonio Police Department, Ximena Alvarez, stated that officers initially responded to a “high-risk welfare check” at approximately 9 a.m. on Sunday in the 7900 block of Jones Maltsberger Road, where they mistakenly thought they had located the man they were searching for. Subsequently, authorities discovered the man was at the Dwell at Legacy apartment building.
Before breaking into a unit at the apartment complex, SAPD police and a SWAT squad tried to get in touch with the man for several hours. According to Alvarez, they discovered the woman and man deceased. While the woman was in her 20s, the male was in his 30s.
The man killed the woman, according to the police, and then killed himself. Alvarez stated that their relationship is currently unknown.
The cause of their deaths is still being looked into by the police. The dead person’s identity and details regarding the welfare check were not disclosed by SAPD.
A resident of the apartment building reported hearing several gunshots on Sunday at approximately noon.
