Salvatore Sarraino Death – Cause of Death: It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Salvatore Sarraino, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who passed away on September 19, 2024, in Ontario. Salvatore, affectionately known as “Sal,” was 67 years old, and his passing has left his family and all who knew him grieving the loss of an extraordinary man.
Born on May 15, 1957, in Sicily, Italy, Salvatore immigrated to Canada as a young man, bringing with him the values of hard work, family, and community. Settling in Ontario, he became a cornerstone of his local community, known for his generosity, work ethic, and love for life. Sal built a successful career in the construction industry, where his craftsmanship, integrity, and dedication earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike.
Sal was more than his work; he was a devoted family man. He married the love of his life, Maria, and together they raised three children, who were his pride and joy. His greatest happiness came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who adored him. Whether it was cooking traditional Italian meals, sharing stories of his upbringing, or tending to his beautiful garden, Sal’s warmth and love for his family were always at the center of his life.
Salvatore had a love for the outdoors, spending weekends fishing, taking long walks, and enjoying nature with those close to him. His infectious smile, boundless energy, and heart of gold touched everyone who crossed his path. His kindness and willingness to help others, whether family, friends, or strangers, left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Salvatore is survived by his loving wife, Maria; his children, Angela (Mark), Tony (Sabrina), and Lucia (Daniel); and his grandchildren, whom he adored. He also leaves behind his siblings, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends, both in Canada and in Italy. His passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who loved him.
A funeral mass in Salvatore’s memory will be held on September 25, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Ontario. Visitation will take place the evening before on September 24 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home.
