Rosa Delgado Perez Obituary, – Emergency crews responded to a crash on Highway 224 near milepost 16 at approximately 2:46 p.m. on Sunday. A Chevy 1500 pickup truck was traveling westbound when it veered off the road and collided with a telephone pole. Sadly, a passenger in the truck, identified as 49-year-old Rosa Delgado Perez from Portland, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a 51-year-old man also from Portland, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The Oregon State Police reported that the investigation is ongoing, with impairment suspected as the cause of the crash. As of now, no charges have been filed. Traffic on Highway 224 was affected for approximately four and a half hours while emergency crews worked at the scene.
