Ronald Dunn,Sheila Shriver Obituary, Death; – The identities of the two individuals who lost their lives in a tragic car accident in Oakvale on Friday have been disclosed.
According to Deputy A.C. Nelson of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, the driver, Ronald Dunn, aged 72, and the passenger, Sheila Shriver, aged 58, both residents of the Oakvale/Princeton area, were fatally injured when their vehicle was struck in the eastbound lane of Route 460 at the Oakvale exit.
Deputy Nelson reported that the victims were attempting to navigate across the eastbound lanes to enter the westbound lanes when their car was struck by a truck traveling in the eastbound direction, resulting in their vehicle being pushed into the median.
The truck driver was airlifted to Roanoke and is currently recovering from multiple serious injuries. Both Ronald Dunn and Sheila Shriver were pronounced dead at the scene. The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the investigation into the incident.
