Roger Dailey Obituary, Death; – Police have released the name of a man found dead in a car fire at a municipal park last week in what has been ruled as an accidental death. Cromwell police identified the man killed in the car fire as Roger Dailey, of Middletown. He was 67, police said.
The department said the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Dailey’s death was “accidental.” On Feb. 9, a Sunday, authorities received several 911 calls reporting a vehicle on fire at Riverport Park at Frisbee Landings, police said.
Firefighters and police officers responded and found a “vehicle fully engulfed in fire,” police said in a news release. Cromwell firefighters extinguished the blaze, after which authorities found a single person inside the vehicle who was dead, police said.
