Rodney Chamberlain Obituary News: Passing of Beloved Rodney Chamberlain , Father and Husband
A memorial service honoring Rodney Chamberlain’s life will take place later. The family is receiving help with the arrangements from the Price-McElroy Funeral Home located in Kenton.
Following his passing, Rodney Ray Chamberlain, a cherished husband, father, grandpa, and friend, left a legacy of kindness, love, and laughter.
His mother, Saundra “Sandy” Chamberlain, his wife, Carrie (Larson) Chamberlain, and his children, Sabrine Larson Chamberlain (Tyler Treen), Josh Meekins, Kendra Larson Chamberlain, and Brandon Taylor, survive him. In addition, Rodney was a proud grandfather of Slade Taylor and Laikyn Meekins. He was quite happy with his granddaughter Laikyn, and he was thrilled to find out he got a grandson recently.
In addition to his numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, Rodney loved his close-knit family, which included his siblings Tony Chamberlain, Melinda Lutz (Lee Lutz), Rhonda Chamberlain, Richard Chamberlain, Rick Shirk (Angela Cruson Sirk), Todd Shirk, Shelly Shirk, and Tina Smeltzer. His love for his family was boundless, and they were the center of his universe.
Richard Shirk, Jodie Chamberlain, Clarence Randall Chamberlain, and his father all passed away before him.
Despite having many skills, Rodney’s heart was what really stood out. He led a giving and compassionate life, whether he was extending a helping hand, sitting by a campfire, or telling stories. He was especially kind to the less fortunate, constantly going above and beyond to lend a hand. possessing a cheeky side that made everyone around him chuckle. Rodney liked to put a smile on people’s faces.
Those fortunate enough to have known him were made happier by his lively personality and kind sense of humor. But there was a very kind and considerate soul hiding behind that aloofness. He was always thinking of others, finding joy in the little things and frequently turning up with surprise treasures for his nieces and nephews. In addition, Rodney enjoyed bartering, often coming up with methods to trade goods or make a bargain that made him happy.
Among all the jobs he filled in life, one of his biggest pleasures was being Laikyn’s grandfather. His time with her was priceless, and his love for her knew no bounds. To anyone who had the honor of knowing him, Rodney will always be remembered for his love of family, kindness, and contagious laugh. Along with memories, he leaves behind a message to always love unconditionally, laugh heartily, and remember how important it is to take care of those around you. Although Rodney will be sorely missed, everyone who knew him will always carry his spirit with them.
Donations in Rodney’s memory may be donated to the funeral home handling the family’s affairs in instead of flowers.
