Roderick E Brumfield Obituary, Death; – Troopers are currently conducting an investigation into a two-vehicle collision in Tangipahoa Parish that resulted in the death of a man on Saturday, January 4.
As reported by the Louisiana State Police, the incident occurred at approximately 4 p.m. on Highway 16, close to Dummyline Road, and claimed the life of 60-year-old Roderick E. Brumfield.
The investigation indicated that Brumfield was traveling eastbound on Highway 16 in a Chevrolet Silverado just prior to the collision. Simultaneously, a Chevrolet Equinox was heading west on the same highway.
For reasons yet to be determined, Brumfield’s vehicle crossed the centerline and collided head-on with the Equinox. Although Brumfield was wearing his seatbelt, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the Equinox, along with four passengers, sustained serious injuries. Troopers have stated that the investigation remains ongoing.
