Robert Shane McElroy Obituary, – The identity of the individual who lost their life in a rollover accident on Interstate 65 in Homewood has been disclosed by the authorities. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that the deceased is Robert Shane McElroy, a 36-year-old resident of Maplesville. The incident, involving a single vehicle, occurred on Tuesday at approximately 11 a.m. on the southbound side of I-65 near the Oxmoor Road exit. According to officials, McElroy was operating a pickup truck while towing another pickup truck, both of which overturned during the accident. Tragically, McElroy was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:08 a.m. Additionally, a passenger sustained critical injuries and was transported to UAB Hospital for treatment.
