On Saturday, January 11, at approximately 4:30 p.m., law enforcement officers responded to reports of gunfire near a vehicle located at 9063 Gregory Boulevard. Multiple witnesses had alerted authorities to the situation, indicating that the vehicle appeared to have sustained gunfire damage.
Upon investigation, officers discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds inside the vehicle and promptly transported him to a local hospital. Although his condition was initially unknown, the Raytown Police Department announced on Monday that he subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
The victim has been identified as 75-year-old Robert Pitts, a resident of Kansas City, Missouri.
