Robert E Reynolds Obituary, Death;- The Laurens County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the individual who lost his life in a collision involving a tractor-trailer on U.S. 221.
On Tuesday, the coroner reported that a deadly accident occurred in proximity to SC 39. The victim has been identified as 83-year-old Robert E. Reynolds, a resident of Waterloo. As per the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the incident transpired when a tractor-trailer, having halted on Cedar Grove Church Road, attempted to merge onto Highway 221 heading north.
Reynolds was operating a 1995 pickup truck traveling south when it collided with the tractor-trailer. Officials stated that Reynolds was the sole occupant of the vehicle and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The coroner indicated that an autopsy is scheduled to take place.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the crash.
