He studied at La Salle-Peru Township High School, District 120, from 1985 to 1988, and went to La Salle-Peru High School. Robert was also known as ”big Butch”.

In honor of Butch (Robert Halm) services, his wishes was to have as many bikes as possible to ride from the Mueller funeral in Oglesby to Peru from August 1-2, Thursday 3-7 and Friday 11 am
