Richard Martinez Obituary, Death;- A deceased individual was discovered on a roadway in Wyoming, Minnesota, early Sunday morning. Authorities have indicated that alcohol consumption and severe cold conditions contributed to his demise.
The Wyoming Police Department reported receiving a call regarding an unresponsive male on the 26400 block of Foxboro Avenue at approximately 6:45 a.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, responders confirmed the death of Richard Martinez, 45, a resident of Wyoming.
“Preliminary investigations suggest that Martinez was returning home from a neighbor’s house sometime after 11:30 PM the previous night when he fell several times,” stated the Wyoming Police Department.
“An initial autopsy has shown head and facial injuries consistent with a fall.” While the final autopsy results are still awaited, the department has noted that “alcohol and extreme cold temperatures have been identified as contributing factors in this case.”
There are no signs of foul play. During the early hours of Monday morning, parts of Minnesota experienced wind chills as low as -45 degrees, coinciding with an extreme cold warning that was in effect when Martinez’s body was discovered.
