Missing Richard Martin found dead
Richard Martin’s aircraft was discovered by the Civil Air Patrol this afternoon while they were in search for him. Martin has worked in the aviation industry for more than 50 years, as confirmed by his friends and colleagues. People report that his aircraft had a modest airframe that had been manufactured at home, and that he took extremely careful care of it. They describe him as adding that he was “very meticulous in all aspects regarding an airplane.”
According to Steven Grinnewald, Director of Public Safety for Dowagiac, a helicopter from the Michigan State Police was able to locate the crashed aircraft. The airplane was found flipped over on its back. According to him, his crew arrived at the location about four o’clock this afternoon.
Grinnewald said that the last three days have been quite difficult because they have no idea where to hunt for the missing person. This jet was located with the assistance of Search Parties as well as a wide variety of other helping agencies. Grinnewald claims that information provided by members of the public directed them to this location. According to Ginnewald, the plane seemed to be flying in a southwesterly direction toward the airport.
The reason for the crash that resulted in the death of the missing pilot, Richard Martin, has not yet been determined. Condolences are been sent to the family members and friends of Richard Martin who passed away after he went missing from Dowagiac Municipal Airport on Sunday
