Richard Carroll Jr Obituary, – Aiken County deputies have named a suspect in a murder that occurred on June 8. Arrest warrants have been issued for Christion Alexander Reeves, 22, of Aiken, in connection with the fatal shooting of Richard Carroll Jr., 23, as confirmed by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
Reeves is facing charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Authorities have advised that Reeves is armed and dangerous. The incident in Aiken County was reported at 2:40 a.m. on June 8. Reeves was taken to the emergency room at MCG Wellstar hospital in Augusta with a gunshot wound. Unfortunately, he passed away shortly before deputies were informed, according to Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables.
The victim was later pronounced dead by medical personnel. Initial leads pointed investigators to the intersection of Sage Creek Blvd and Bettis Academy Road as a potential crime scene. Further investigation revealed that the shooting actually took place at a residence in the 8100 block of Red Rock Way in Graniteville.
