Richard Blanchette Obituary, Death; – A driver involved in a collision that resulted in injuries to two individuals earlier this week in Taunton, Massachusetts, has passed away.
Emergency responders were dispatched shortly after 6 p.m. on Tuesday to a significant multi-vehicle accident on Somerset Avenue. Upon arrival, investigators discovered a 2018 Dodge Challenger with severe front-end damage containing two occupants, as well as a 2008 Toyota Camry, also with considerable front-end damage, which had one occupant. All three individuals were transported for medical care.
Authorities reported that a 2021 Ram truck was located with damage on the driver’s side. The driver of this vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Richard Blanchette, a 20-year-old from Middleborough and the operator of the Challenger, succumbed to his injuries on Thursday at a hospital in Massachusetts, as stated by Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
