Today, we gather to honour the life and legacy of Jeannie Alexander Nazario, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the hearts of all who knew her. With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Jeannie as she journeys home to be with Jesus, where she is reunited with her mother and brother, finding peace and solace in eternal rest.
Jeannie leaves behind a profound legacy of love and devotion to her family. She is survived by her cherished children: Sonya Bolling, Mandy Black (Nathan), and Ashley Coupland; her eight adoring grandchildren: Tyler Carr, Jasmine Bolling, Alex Carr, Jacob Bolling, Shelby Bishop, Brennen Free, Baleigh Free, and Kadie Free; and her two great-grandchildren: Ethan Carr and Clayton Carr. She is also survived by her father, Herbert H. Alexander; her brother, Rick Alexander (Cathy); her sister, Angela Alexander, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
Jeannie’s unwavering faith in Jesus was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her through every joy and trial. Her devotion to her family knew no bounds, and she cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren above all else. Even in the face of adversity, Jeannie’s spirit remained resilient, exemplified by her unwavering strength during her chemo treatments, where she found solace in singing “We All Need Jesus.” Her faith was not just a belief but a lived reality that inspired all who knew her.
As we bid farewell to Jeannie, we are reminded of her profound impact on each of our lives. Her kindness, love, and radiant spirit will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever live on in our hearts.
Visitation to celebrate Jeannie’s life will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Jeannie will be laid to rest in the hallowed grounds of Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens, where she will find eternal peace alongside her loved ones.
