Regina McAfee Jones Death – Regina Jones of Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on Friday September 22nd, 2023, while undergoing treatment for a rare blood disorder called amyloidosis. She was 65 years old. Jones was diagnosed with Amyloidosis, a rare protein disease in 2020. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, grandmother, teacher, designer, model, dancer, runner, matriarch, fighter.
According to Regina Jones Obituary, she was a proud Irishwoman, but the sunshine of Avalon and Sea Isle City always left her with a tan. It was on those beaches that she met the love of her life, and she went on to establish a happy existence with happy summer memories at its center. Jones shared a rich, bright, and enjoyable life with her husband of 42 years, Jeff Jones, who was also the object of her longtime crush. They were always surrounded by family and friends.
She was both cool and shy, elegant but self-effacing, lithe and graceful, beloved of her life-long friends who universally described her as a sweet heart. She was in fact the Class of ‘76 Homecoming Queen. She was on student council, and the captain of the volleyball team. She was an important part of the McDevitt shows performing as lead dancer in The King and I, Little Mary Sunshine and Fiddler on the Roof.
According to Mayo Clinic, Amyloidosis is a rare disease that occurs when a protein called amyloid builds up in organs. This amyloid buildup can make the organs not work properly. Organs that may be affected include the heart, kidneys, liver, spleen, nervous system and digestive tract.
