Rebecca Anderson Obituary, Death; – A 73-year-old woman tragically lost her life in a house fire that occurred over the weekend in North Judson. As reported by our partners at WKVI, firefighters received a call just prior to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday regarding a fire at a residence located in the 400 block of High Street.
Upon their arrival, they entered the home, located the victim, and successfully removed her from the premises. Unfortunately, the victim did not survive. The Starke County coroner identified her as Rebecca Anderson, a resident of North Judson.
WKVI further reports that two firefighters from North Judson-Wayne Township sustained minor burn injuries while rescuing Anderson. They were evaluated on-site by Starke County EMS and were subsequently cleared to resume their duties. The Indiana State Fire Marshal is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
