CLEVELAND, Ohio
: I-480 westbound experienced several lane closures on Friday due to a police pursuit and collision.
The chase was related to a shooting that occurred at the North Side Saloon on Cuyahoga Falls Avenue on Friday morning, according to Akron police.
According to the police, a woman was shot by a man and wound up inside his black pickup truck.
According to APD, that truck was later involved in a police pursuit that began in Akron and went outside the city limits.
The conclusion of an external agency’s pursuit on I-480 at Tiedeman Road has been confirmed by Cleveland Police.
According to ODOT footage that 19 News obtained through a public records request, the police stopped the vehicle using a PIT maneuver.
Additional details have not been made public by Akron police.
By 2:15 p.m., the freeway was once again open.
