The Ontario Provincial Police – East Region provides an update: “The OPP expresses gratitude to all individuals who have offered their assistance in the hunt for Brian. Currently, we are not soliciting volunteer searchers. The search has been ongoing since the investigation started, with the involvement of the OPP Emergency Response Team, Canine Units, and other police.
In addition, we deployed an OPP helicopter and a Remote Piloted Aerial System (drone) to conduct a search of the area. The presence of well-meaning but inexperienced citizens conducting independent searches can actually impede our efforts.”
