Kelley lived to fish, and his passion for being out on the water grew continually, especially during the summers he spent on the coast of Georgia, visiting his grandparents.
Kelley’s brave and courageous spirit led him to join the Marine Corps at a time when tensions in the Middle East were at their height. His commitment to excellence and strong leadership abilities enabled him to excel during his four years on active duty. He played a part in the operation that rescued Captain Phillips and was selected with a small group to monitor and escort a Somali pirate, eventually turning him over to officials in Djibouti.
After leaving the Marines, Kelley moved to Florida to be near his sister and to stay close to the ocean. A romantic at heart, he initially left his first job on a yacht to pursue a land-based relationship and transitioned into the corporate world. However, when the relationship didn’t work out, Kelley gladly left his desk job to return to the yachting industry, which he had always loved.
Since then, Kelley has moved back to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he is currently a captain on a yacht. Alongside his yachting career, he has also pursued his passion for photography and videography as a side hustle.
