Phy Puth Obituary, Death; – A murder charge has been filed following an investigation into a suspicious death, as authorities report that a 64-year-old woman was discovered deceased in a residence located in northeast London, Ontario.
On Tuesday at approximately 7:30 a.m., officers from the London Police Service were dispatched to a property on Chippewa Drive in response to a report of an individual found dead.
The deceased has been identified as Phy Puth, 64, a resident of London. A male suspect was apprehended at the scene, later identified as Lee Couturier, 48, also from London. Couturier has been charged with second-degree murder.
Sgt. Sandasha Bough of the London police refrained from disclosing the nature of the relationship between the victim and the suspect but confirmed that they were acquainted. “Further details will emerge during the court proceedings,” Bough stated. The investigation remains in its preliminary phase, and police have indicated that additional information will be released as deemed appropriate.
Bough noted that the major crime unit has assumed control of the investigation, and an increased police presence will be maintained in the vicinity for the next day or so as inquiries continue. Couturier made an appearance in London court on Tuesday.
