CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Several families in the Charlotte area celebrated the New Year with a newborn.
Both Novant Health and Atrium Health are celebrating the first babies born at their different hospitals across North Carolina.
At 12:13 a.m. on Jan. 1, baby Cillian was born to parents Kaila and Tyler and older brother Beau at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. He weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 22 inches in length.
At 12:15 a.m., baby Kai was delivered at 8 pounds, 11.9 ounces, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte. She was 21.25 inches in length. Her parents are Armida and Mario.
At 12:18 a.m., baby Eliana was born to parents Gabriella and Miguel at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, weighing 7 pounds, 2 ounces, and being 19.01 inches in length. She has one older sister, Adelynn.
At 12:55 a.m., baby Johnnie was welcomed into the world at 7 pounds, 11 ounces, at Atrium Health Stanly in Albemarle. His parents are Valery and Johnnie.
At 3:23 a.m., baby Lorena was delivered weighing 8 pounds, 8 ounces, at Atrium Health Union in Monroe to parents Merari and Jose.
At 7:31 a.m., mom Sheriee gave birth to a little baby boy weighing 5 pounds, 5 ounces, at Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center in Thomasville. He was 18 inches and had four brothers and sisters named I’ana, Christian, Christiana and Christopher.
