Phillip Farley Obituary, Death; – The Springfield Police Department (SPD) has confirmed the identity of the individual discovered lying on the ground at the intersection of West College Street and North Fort Avenue. According to a press release from SPD, officers located 45-year-old Phillip Farley suffering from multiple stab wounds between 8:30 and 9 p.m.
At this moment, SPD has not identified any suspects; however, detectives are actively pursuing the investigation. Individuals with any information are encouraged to contact SPD at 417-864-1810 or to reach out anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477).
This marks the second homicide investigation conducted by SPD in 2025.
