Phillip Burleson Obituary, Death; – Police have identified the pedestrian who tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle on Glastonbury Boulevard as a 61-year-old resident of the town. According to Lt. Kevin Szydlo, the incident took place at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, close to the Shops at Somerset Square.
Phillip Burleson was in the process of crossing the street alongside several other pedestrians when he was hit by a westbound vehicle on Glastonbury Boulevard, as reported by Szydlo. Burleson was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, Szydlo confirmed.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation, Szydlo added. Authorities are continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
