The injured individual has been identified as Jeremy Deshawn Williams. The incident occurred near County Road 235 and Highway 114 at approximately 8:38 a.m. on Friday morning, prompting the immediate response of first responders.
The Cochran County Sheriff’s Office had previously reported that two air tractors, engaged in spraying activities in a cotton field, collided mid-air, resulting in a subsequent fire. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has confirmed the occurrence of the fire following the crash.
DPS has stated that Kitten was pronounced dead at the crash site, while Williams sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
